Borderline personality disorder is an illness marked by an ongoing pattern of varying moods, self-image, and behavior. These symptoms often result in impulsive actions and problems in relationships with other people. A person with borderline personality disorder may experience episodes of anger, depression, and anxiety that may last from a few hours to days.

  • Logic skill increase rate changed to 50% slower than that of a regular sim

  • Mental skill (childhood) increase rate changed to 3x faster than that of a regular sim

  • Grade school career increase rate changed to 3x faster than that of a regular sim

  • High school career increase rate changed to 3x faster than that of a regular sim

Note: The increase rate of all creative skills have been changed to 3x faster than that of a regular sim


Relationship Changes:

  • Romantic relationships fluctuate 3x more often than that of a regular sim

  • Friendships fluctuate 3x more often than that of a regular sim

Note: These sims overall have very unstable relationships.


Commodity Traits:

Note: this means that these sims will likely have the buffs of these traits

Buff Description: This sim is currently experiencing feelings of dissociation, such as feeling cut off from oneself, observing oneself from outside one’s body, or feelings of unreality

Buff Emotion: Dazed

Emotional Weight: +3


Buff Name: They’re Going to Leave

Buff Description: This sim is currently experiencing efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment, such as rapidly initiating intimate (physical or emotional) relationships or cutting off communication with someone in anticipation of being abandoned.

Buff Emotion: Tense

Emotional Weight: +3

This mod means so much to me. I never thought I'd see mental disorders in the Sims, something I had been recently thinking about. It occured to me that i wouldn't truly be able to represent myself in game because of the limited amount of traits but this? It solves so many of my trait issues. I've never been so directly represented in a video game in my life, and that the relationship issues are so horrendously spot on that when I read your description of the buffs, I cried a little. Because I have BPD, and it's so difficult to put your finger on it when you have it yourself, it feels like you wrote a description of me.…
